This artwork by Andreas Eriksson is to this date the largest stretched canvas painting in Sweden, measuring 6,5 x 11 metres. It is found in the main entrance hall welcoming visitors and staff at the New Karolinska Hospital.
Hangmen was asked to advise, project lead, and come up with a site-specific technical solution for the installation of the large canvas. With a combination of experience and innovation, a way to stretch the canvas fabric on site was designed. It allowed the painting to be stretched and mounted directly onto the secured and fireproofed wall element.
